“KidGuard was responsive, comprehensive, and stepped up to provide as much coverage as entirely possible when our primary health carrier failed to. We remain extremely grateful to the team at KidGuard for their exceptional service and care during a traumatic athletic injury and recovery. Need medical treatment? Follow these steps.

If your child is covered by your family’s primary insurance plan such as an HMO, PPO, private insurance, group coverage through parents’ employment, Blue Cross, Tri-care, Champva, etc., you should see a doctor within your primary insurance network and file a claim with that provider first. Review the section above for information on how to submit a KidGuard® claim.

If your child is not covered by a primary insurance plan, seek medical treatment from any licensed hospital or licensed physician. You will be eligible for coverage as outlined in your district’s plan. (See above to review your coverage.) It is your responsibility to ask the doctor or provider what out-of-pocket expenses you may be responsible for.
